(Photo : Reuters) Carson City, Nevada's Attorney General's Office has temporarily banned Uber's taxi service from the state, following a myriad of laws and regulations the tech-startup might have broken.
Ridesharing service Uber has officially launched in the Nevada cities of Las Vegas, Reno and Carson City on Friday, as the taxi-service attempts to branch out even further in the U.S.
However, the move has been hit with a temporary ban from the Carson City Attorney General's Office after just two days in the state. District Court Judge James Russell announced Uber would be banned from offering fares in the state until November 7, with a hearing on November 6.

Uber has been building up the launch of the taxi-service in Nevada for a few months now, looking on Craigslist and in local advertisements for taxi-drivers, who want to partner with the technology-startup.
Nevada is riddled with rules and regulation for taxi-services, forcing Uber off the road in just two days. Uber rides are normally 10 to 20 percent cheaper than most taxis, and drivers do not get tips for their service, making it a much easier choice for customers.
This has put Uber in hot-water all across the globe, in Europe, taxi-drivers went on strike against Uber entering U.K and France, but the service has remained undeterred in most areas. Uber will fight the current infractions in Nevada and will compensate any Uber drivers who have been fined for working.
Uber spokeswoman Eva Behrend said that hundreds of drivers had signed up to work with Uber's taxi-service in the months before launch. These drivers have passed background and car inspection checks before being verified as an Uber driver, but they may face further investigation for working with the company.
Las Vegas has some of the strictest regulations for taxi-services in a metropolitan area, including people not being able to hail cabs on the side of the road, and always having a pick-up spot and destination ready.
Uber is currently available in over 45 countries and 100 cities, and has a valuation of around $15 billion. The taxi-service will be investing heavily in the Nevada area, and is looking for quick approval from the Carson City court to get Uber drivers back on the road.
