Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin have split just after four months of dating, multiple sources told Us Weekly. News of the couple's split came only two weeks following J.Law's introduction of Martin to her mother, and now new reports say that this may be because of Martin's ex wife, Gwyneth Paltrow.

"Jen is the one who broke it off with Chris," a source told People magazine. 

According to several insiders, Lawrence was so in love with Martin that she is already thinking about having a family. However, Martin has already had all that, and he's in no hurry to get back where he was a year ago.

"[Jen would] love to have a little girl," a source said. "She's been totally swept off her feet by Chris and is convinced they've got what it takes to go all the way."

Days before the split, Martin and Paltrow were spotted having dinner at an LA sushi restaurant. The 42-year-old was reportedly seen tenderly stroking Martin's face. Meanwhile, Lawrence is somewhere else in the same city, but with a friend, according to the Daily Mail.

Hollywood Life suggests Gwyneth could have been the cause of the Lawrence and Martin splitting.

Gwyneth has "drawn up a rota to balance his time living life as a bachelor and seeing Jennifer with honoring their many family commitments," a source told Grazia UK in September.

"Gwyneth still has a lot of control over him, which isn't exactly desirable to prospective girlfriends," the source added. "The way things are at the moment, no sane person would want to be an accessory to their conscious uncoupling."

Many insiders suppose that at the end of the day, Martin is still not ready to introduce J.Law to his kids, Apple and Moses, especially since he and Paltrow have not yet filed divorce papers.

The two have been photographed together on several occasions even if they already split.

It appears that J.Law isn't one to accept playing second fiddle to Paltrow. Martin clearly prioritizes Paltrow and his kids above all else, therefore despite being considerably smitten with Lawrence, he is in no hurry of taking any further steps in the relationship. He has also not filed for divorce, just like Paltrow.

Martin may have realized things were moving too fast, especially since J.Law introduced him to her mother recently.

"Jennifer's mum flew to Los Angeles to meet Chris. We will have to get another chair for the dinner table at Christmas," "The Hunger Games" star's grandmother, Carolyn Koch, told The Sun. "The family is getting so big we might have to split up for gatherings."

Before the split, Paltrow has been unusually accepting of J.Law.

"She'd like to spend a little time with [Lawrence] and thinks they'd probably get along," said a source  recently. "Gwyneth wants to be sure about her."

Since the "conscious uncoupling," Gwyneth has reportedly been linked to "Glee" producer Brad Falchuk.

She and the 43-year-old are "openly dating, but behind closed doors' amongst pals. They go to private Hollywood parties together," an insider told Page Six.

The couple were first seen together in August, on two dinner dates at Vietnamese eatery East Borough in Culver City, according to E! News.

On the same month, the pair went on a romantic getaway at the Amangiri resort in Utah which costs $8,000-a-night, reported Star Magazine .

However, Falchuk was reportedly absent from all of Paltrow's 42^nd birthday parties, while Martin stuck was seen hanging out with Apple, Moses and their common friends Kate Hudson, Tobey Maguire, Nicole Richie and Maya Rudolph, according to Hollywood Take.

"This conscious uncoupling might be great for Gwyneth and Chris' relationship, but it's not doing them any favors when it comes to their individual love lives," a source explained. "Brad [Falchuk] cares about Gwyneth a lot. But it's really difficult for him playing second fiddle to Chris. Gwyneth and Chris still spend a huge amount of time together, and speak on the phone every day, which Brad must find alienating."

Meanwhile, aside from familial obligations, another source blames Lawrence and Martin's split on their "insane" schedules.

"They really like each other" a source close to Martin told Us Weekly. "But it's just so complicated with so much going on."

The Oscar-winning 24-year-old and the 37-year-old Coldplay front man's romance began late June after Lawrence split from long-time boyfriend, actor Nicholas Hoult. Meanwhile, Martin and his wife of 10 years, Gwyneth Paltrow, announced their conscious uncoupling late March.

In early October, Lawrence supported Coldplay at the Hollywood Bowl. At the same time, before the Jennifer Lawrence Chris Martin split, they went to the Kings of Leon concert and reportedly showed off some PDA. 

Jen took pictures and videos on her phone of Chris during rehearsals,"a source told JustJared.com. "They engaged playfully with each other, appearing like a couple in love. She kissed him on the lips several times."

In September, Jenifer Lawrence was also snapped backstage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival , where the father of two performed.

Lawrence and Martin's split certainly came as shocking news since the former couple has kept mum about their relationship all this time. They were also barely photographed together, according to E! Online.

It's unfortunate that J.Law was clearly also affected by the couple's "conscious uncoupling", since she is the one who broke it off with Chris. Unfortunately, even if a source said Chris Martin thinks of Lawrnece as "the real deal," J.Law doesn't seem to share the same sentiment anymore.
