Sarah Palin: ‘Haters’ May Drive Me To Run for Office Again

(Photo : Reuters) Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin dropped hints she might run for office again in the future in an interview with Fox Business Network’s Stuart Varney Tuesday, October 28, 2014.

Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska and the one-time Republican ticket for the vice-presidency, told her "haters" Tuesday afternoon that their mockery and insults might just inspire her to run for public office again.

She obliged Fox Business Network's Stuart Varney with an interview in which she shared her thoughts on a wide range of topics and at times answered some very personal questions.

Asked if the "extraordinary" level of hatred directed against her has driven her out of politics, the embattled former governor said it actually has an opposite effect.

Instead of lashing out at her liberal critics, Palin demurred, saying her "haters" drive her to want working harder for justice in the country. She added that the harsh criticisms invigorate and fuel her to run for office in the future, instead of push her away from politics.

Palin declined a bid for presidency in 2012 although she commanded then a strong following among conservatives. She has not held a political office since she resigned her post as the governor of Alaska following her decision to run alongside John McCain (R) as his vice president.

In the past, Palin hinted at a possible political bid as Alaska's senator. She decided against it and instead endorsed upstart Joe Miller (R) for his 2010 Senatorial race.

In 2011, she appeared to have strongly considered a presidential bid, even launching a bus tour that has won her ample national headlines. The tour eventually ended without an announcement for a presidential run.

At the time she said titles are unnecessary in carving out paths for change in the country.

The Fox interview comes on the heels of the controversial drunken street-brawl involving the Palin family. It has attracted a great deal of media coverage and was further catapulted to media spotlight last week after CNN's Carol Costello made fun of the audio clip detailing Bristol Palin's interview with the police about the incident.
