Xiaomi Vice President Hugo Barra only has praises for the latest Apple iPhone 6, calling it the most beautiful smartphone ever built. Notably, Xiaomi handsets are known to look like Apple devices, and in fact the brand is called the Apple of China.

Xiaomi has been criticized for copying smartphone designs, including that of Apple's. However, Barra said that Xiaomi designers and engineers are inspired by excellent products and implied that everybody takes inspiration from other products anyway. He said that those who are inspired can create something even better and that some features from an OEM will eventually land in other OEm's product in a different name. He asked for a tech product that has a completely unique design and said that people won't be able to name any.

Barra added that the latest iPhone looks a lot like HTC's design philosophy with a twist. He said that people can expect more design twists in Xiaomi's upcoming devices. Barra complimented the iOS's quick settings that lets users access WiFi, Bluetooth, flashlight and other features immediately but did not give credit to Android as well. He added that the Apple iOS Control Center is better than Android's Quick Setting.

Some think Hugo's views are candid and true because products have been influenced by other devices nowadays while other people may think Xiaomi has still taken this inspiration too far. However, Windows Phone, iOS and Android have also been criticized for stealing features and Samsung has gotten its share of criticisms as well.
