Apple iPhone 5S to Google Nexus 6: To Switch or Not to Switch to Android 5.0 Lollipop?

Google is said to have brought impressive craftsmanship from Motorola and the best Android build so far to the upcoming Nexus 6.

The device attracts people to upgrade because of its Android 5.0 Lollipop functions and aesthetics. Those that have been using older iPhone versions may want to upgrade to Nexus 6 instead of the iOS powered iPhone 6 but before they make a decision, there are things they have to consider before the Google 2014 flagship releases in November.

Google makes sure a new or converted user will experience an easy and smooth environment for the transition. According to reports, Google offers a guide and Android kits for iOS users.

The manual is designed to walk through iOS users into transferring their content and contacts and setting up their messaging and email with ease and no trouble. Apple iOS purchased apps will have to be repurchased when migrating to Android, however.

Compared to the iPhone 5S, the 5,9-inch Nexus 6 offers a gigantic display for more navigational space and viewing but one-hand use could be more difficult than the 4-inch iPhone 5S. Meanwhile, Android L is mostly about Material Design and how Google adapted to minimalism similar to the iOS 7.

The new Android version is more functional, simple and beautiful. Google added powerful features such as the Ambient Display among others.

Nexus 6 is now more expensive as the Google Play Store lists the unlocked 32 GB variant at US$649 while the Nexus 6 64 GB unlocked version costs US$699. The iPhone 5S now sells at US$549 without contract.

The Nexus 6 and Android 5.0 Lollipop release date is November but pre-ordering starts Oct. 29.
