The opening scene of the trailer depicts the crew parachuting their fast cars out of an airplane in an effort to pull off another daunting heist, as multiple turrets from an armored bus are shooting them in the process.
Not even 24-hours have passed since the trailer has been released, and already it's received nearly 6 million views.
The intense buzz surrounding the newest installment to the franchise unfortunately is largely in part due to the death of Paul Walker. Walker died in a car accident Nov. 30, 2013.
The death of character Owen Shaw (played by Luke Evans) at the end of Fast and Furious 6 will spark the newest plot, as Shaw's brother Ian (played by Jason Statham) will seek revenge and try to take down his brother's killer.
Furious 7 will tie back into the storyline of The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift - the 3rd installment of the franchise. The ending of Fast and Furious 6 showed Jason Statham killing Han Lue in the unexpected car crash of Tokyo Drift - leading many to speculate Statham's character would be coming for the rest of the crew who killed his brother.
According to reports, Universal will also give Paul Walker a happy ending in the movie to honor his memory. Furious 7 is set to hit the theaters on April 4, 2015.
