Model Gabriel Aubry is fighting former partner Halle Berry's move to cut his child support by more than 400%, saying he only managed to get 3 gigs after Berry's current husband Olivier Martinez beat him up.
Currently, Berry is shelling out US$16,000 a month in child support. She is aiming to reduce that figure to US$3,800 a month.

Aubry shared that he was unable to support his 6-year old daughter, Nahla, with Berry because it took 6 months for him to recover and heal from his injuries before he could start working again.
Martinez had beaten up Aubry in 2012 after the model had dropped off Nahla in Berry and Martinez's home. Aubry said that Martinez had started the fight because he was angry at the fact that Aubry was costing them US$3 million in the custody battle over Nahla.
The model currently shares joint custody of Nahla with the actress. Berry states that during the time Nahla is with her, Aubry should be working and earning his own money instead of living on the hefty child support she is giving.
Gossip site TMZ, however, stated that photos of Aubry 6 weeks after the incident showed that his injuries were barely noticeable.
Berry stated that Aubry is a bum, using the child support payments to support his lifestyle and, to avoid working.
"There is no case, no law, no logic that says a healthy, active man gets to simply live off child support that the wealthier mother earns," the actress' attorney, Steve Kolodny, stated.
Kolodny stated that Aubry uses the monthly child support for his own needs, including US$740 monthly for his "fitness", US$940 a month for his wardrobe, US$700 a month for his health insurance, US$1,975 a month for his car expenses and US$1,100 a month for electronics and furniture.
Aubry even lists his daughter's clothing expenses as separate, totaling it to US$675 a month.
