Angelina Jolie says she is ready to take on a new role, this time away from the bright lights and the big screen.
The 39-year-old Hollywood royalty, Brad Pitt's wife, said she is open to pursue a new career, this time in politics.
Jolie, who is on the cover of the December issue of Vanity Fair, was recently named Queen Elizabeth’s honorary dame, after her part in humanitarian work that has been very much open to the public. She also added there is a big responsibility to be taken for extreme change to take place.

The actress also said she is aware of her celebrity status. She admitted that she does not know what kind of role she would partake. She added she knows that being an actress would make it less possible for her to enter the world of politics.
As of this time, Jolie is still part of the silver screen and is currently directing “By the Sea” with Brad Pitt.
Jolie said a few friends had asked if she and her husband were crazy about the storyline of the new project. "By the Sea," which she directs, is about a married couple passing through life's difficulties.
Pitt and Jolie met in 2005 on the set of their movie "Mr. and Mrs. Smith." They decided to get married after nine years of being in a relationship. The two have been together for about a decade. Jolie said it feels nice to be husband and wife and that it does feel different to be hitched. Jolie said that a part of their wedding vows were written by their six children.
She revealed that their children do not expect them not to fight but they made both of them to say "Sorry" if they ever do.
