The mystery behind the object in the center of the Milky Way's been solved.
According to astronomers that solved the mystery via observations, the odd entity is apparently the merger of two binary stars completely shrouded by dust and gases orbiting in tandem around our galaxy's black hole.

The object is called G2 and is believed to be a cloud of hydrogen gas.
"The G2 object has not been affected and has continued uninterrupted on its orbit, which is not something that a gas cloud would have done. It was not influenced by the black hole, and no fireworks were observed," said Andrea Ghez, a member of the research team that explained G2's discovery.
Currently, it's undergoing a "spaghetti-fication," which is a common occurrence near black holes that results in objects becoming elongated.
Astronomers said observing G2's encounter with the black hole will reveal more information about the galaxy's center entity and its behavior around dense gravitational fields.
They are also hoping to answer the question of how supermassive black holes engulf stars and eventually evolve.
The new discovery was published in the Astrophysical Journal Letters journal.
