Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran Tito Ortiz said he tricked Stephan Bonnar into taking a spy into his camp for their upcoming match in the Bellator mixed martial arts (MMA) organization.
The Hunnington Beach Bad Boy recently spoke to MMA Weekly. In the interview, he claimed that his old wrestling coach, who was training with Bonnar for their upcoming fight, is actually a double agent in disguise.

Ortiz said he got fighter manager Dave Thomas to sign him. He went on to say how he and Thomas had to think of something to make Bonnar believe that both Thomas and current coach Paul Herrera did not like Ortiz.
According to Ortiz, Bonnar bit the line, hook and sinker. This made Bonnar think that everyone on his side was against Ortiz.
Herrera and Ortiz have had a long relationship. Herrera was Ortiz's wrestling coach, and the two have been training together on and off for years.
Ortiz claims that sending Herrera to train Bonnar was his plan all along and that the fact that he did not want to work with Herrera was not an issue. The only issue was getting into Bonnar's camp and having an insider there.
"I know how his training camp went. I know the ins and outs. So he just got baited," Ortiz said. "That's how bad I want to cave his face in."
Anything Ortiz says though is up for speculation. He is the type of guy who would say anything to push his own narrative. One example is that Ortiz once claimed he went into the UFC 106 card with a fractured skull.
While the truth of Ortiz's story is in question, the bad blood and interesting dramatics that the fight has produced will hopefully make their fight a good one.
