Woman Finds Missing Husband 9 Years Later… Remarried

Karen Marx, 48, had been looking for his husband, Adam, since he mysteriously disappeared without any reason in 2005.

Marx successfully tracked him down, thanks to Facebook, but was surprised to find out that she was married already, living 155 miles away from her home state of Wisconsin.

Karen was already a mom of three when he met Adam, himself a father of two and still married, at a carnival in 1990. Adam was working there as a ride operator.

The two fell in love and Adam decided to divorce his first wife for Karen. One year later, they got married.

Adam resigned from his carnival job and lived with his new wife. While Adam was jobless, it was Karen who supported the family on her meager salary as a machine operator wages. One year later, he left his family.

"The first time he left me, it was like somebody reached into my chest and ripped my heart out of me," Karen said.

Karen said that Adam put the blame on her and that "he couldn't handle my kids."

Months later, Adam returned. Karen willingly took him back and with her savings, she purchased a home in Clinton, Mo. He got hired as a laborer in a timber framing company while she opened a cleaning business.

However, things did not turn out fine and a year later, Adam was heavily in debt; Karen suspected him of infidelity. He eventually left his home, leaving Karen just a note.

Adam lost his job. They met once at a Kmart store where Karen asked him for a divorce. But since that time, she had never heard anything from him.

In 2012, Karen moved to New London, Wisconsin, to take care of his sick father. Karen found Adam's wife on Facebook. From his mom, she found out that Adam already had a new life - and a new wife, Marcie.

Karen was shocked with what her husband did, so she called the police, had him arrested and charged for bigamy, fraud and making a false statement on his marriage license.

"They said he told people it was his first marriage, and the [clerk] never checked vital statistics," Karen revealed.

Adam claimed that he thought Karen took care of the divorce in Montana but he was eventually found to have lied after claiming that his marriage with Marcie was his first one.

Karen finally filed for divorce and swore she'll never date anyone until the divorce is made finalized.

"When you married someone, you married him for life, through sickness and health," she said. "I'm still a married woman, and married women don't do that."

If Adam is convicted for fraud,  he could be sentence for six years in prison.
