The parents of Michael Brown are surprised and hurt by Police Officer Darren Wilson's claims of having a 'clean and clear conscience' after he fatally shot their child on Aug. 9.
Wilson, who remained in hiding after the shooting and only resurfaced after the Grand Jury's decision came out Monday, relayed his own version of the story to George Stephanopoulos of ABC News.

"The reason I have a clean conscience is because I know I did my job right," Wilson told the news anchor.
The lawyer of the Brown family, Benjamin Crump, said Wilson's statement was distressing for Brown's parents, and how listening to it brought them to tears. Crump, himself, said that he felt violated and pained by the officer's words.
Brown's parents are currently in New York granting interviews regarding the incident that took the life of their son. They share to the audience the story of how their helpless and unarmed boy was shot in broad daylight by Ferguson Police Officer Wilson.
The series of events roused frustration and anger among Missouri residents. There were reports of dometic violence in the area as an aftermath of a grand jury's verdict clearing Wilson of all criminal charges.
Wilson appeared before the media and was seen saying sorry for the victim's parents' loss. He added that it was never his intention to end the life of the 18-year-old boy.
This, however, did not seem to appease the disappointment of many including Crump who was reported saying, "I expected him to say my heart is heavy, my conscience is troubled. He didn't say that."
Rev. Al Sharpton, counselor to the Browns, was also heard saying that Wilson's statement to the grand jury that the area where the shooting occurred was a high-crime neighborhood was a clear pre-judgment on the part of Wilson.
