Taiwanese actor Mark Chao and Chinese actress Gao Yuanyuan tied the knot in a very sweet and romantic wedding ceremony in Taiwan Friday. 

Chao and Gao registered for marriage in Household Registration Office in the morning and held the wedding in the afternoon. The famous film director Chen Kaige was the couple's marriage witness. Film directors Yueh-Hsun Tsai and Johnny To were introducers of the groom and the bride, respectively. Well-known Taiwanese emcee Jacky Wu Chung-Hsien was the wedding host.

In the wedding, the groom Chao promised to take care of Gao's family and said that Gao is a better partner than any he could imagine. He thanked himself for finding the "perfect woman."

"I finally got you," the bride Gao said with deep emotion. "It is great that I did not give up." Gao also said that she had a great impression on Chao.

"Mark, our love started with a sad story. We live in two cities, but I love you. Our home is where you are. They always said the man in my heart does not exist, but you exceed all the imaginations that I have to men," Gao said to Chao.

 "No matter where you go, I will follow you. I will always love you, love your family. I have many wonderful pictures for the future, like Ups, our lives will be frozen in the movie...I will always love you, no matter in favorable circumstances or adverse situations, until the end of life."

When Gao was asked whether she was pregnant, she said no.

More than 200 actors, actresses and celebrities from China mainland and Taiwan attended Chao and Gao's wedding, including Carina Lau, Chang Hsiao Yen, Vicki Zhao Wei, Huang Bo, Ethan Ruan, Wang Luodan, Doze Niu Chen-Zer. Chao also arranged media center, media center host, media gifts, and provided media high tea and dinner for media from China mainland and Taiwan.
