Johnny Manziel has officially taken over as the quarterback for the National Football League's (NFL) Cleveland Browns in a losing effort against the Buffalo Bills (26-10). The era of Manziel has begun, and there may be no turning back.
Manziel finally got his chance to play significant time with the Browns, after Brian Hoyer was benched early in the fourth quarter against the Bills.

On his first drive alone, Manziel led the Browns to an eight play drive that spanned for 80 yards. Once in the end zone, he flashed his signature money signs from the end zone after a 10-yard diving run.
Manziel's efforts were enough to make the team ponder on a critical decision regarding the future of the quarterback position with the Browns. Due to his recent amazing performance, he may be seeing his first start in the NFL against the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday.
"If that is the case and my name is called, then I'll definitely be ready," said Manziel.
He completed 5 of 8 passes for 63 yards. His first two completions went beyond 15 yards.
With about 12 minutes left in the game, Manziel entered and completed three of his first four passes for a total of 54 yards. He led the Browns to their only touchdown drive of the day with 8:54 remaining on the clock.
Hoyer left the game after he threw his second interception that led to a field goal for the Bills.
Coach Mike Pettine said that the team will be making an official decision on whether to start Manziel of Hoyer by Wednesday.
Benching Hoyer has been a particularly tough call for Pettine. However, he has thrown one touchdown and six interceptions in his last four games. This includes zero touchdowns and five picks in his last two.
When Hoyer was asked on the situation, he said that it was his team and he has always felt that way.
"We'll see what happens."
