Outgoing Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick announced on Sunday that he will not be competing with other candidates who will be running in the upcoming Presidential Race 2016.
In an interview with Chuck Todd of NBC's "Meet the Press," Patrick said his two terms as the governor of Massachusetts were challenging and fun. However, he explained that he did not run for the position to get another job.

"I've thought about it, but no, I can't get ready for 2016," Patrick told Todd.
Patrick also talked about his opinion regarding Democrat voters supporting Hillary Clinton, a potential candidate in the 2016 elections. He cautioned the audience about the expectable presidential nominee.
He said that the American people want their candidates to "sweat for the job" pointing out that the possible leader should have actually made something worthwhile and should be the right person at the right time.
Aside from that, he also talked about the verdict regarding police officer Darren Wilson of Ferguson, Missouri who was not indicted as per the grand jury's decision. Wilson shot the black teenager Michael Brown dead and it has been one of the most talked about deaths linked to racism.
Patrick said that he actually wanted to see an indictment because he thinks that the trial and the transparency of it would have been good for the community. The decision of the grand jury sparked outrage among the people in the area, resulting to riots and looting.
Patrick added that he does understand the decision of United States President Barack Obama on sensitive race issues. He noted that he actually gave attention to such during his term as the first black governor of Massachusetts.
Gov. Deval Patrick shared about the time when he was called to respond to a gang shooting. He noted that governors are not really expected to be at the crime scenes but the expectations of him being a black elected official was a different case.
