It was a dramatic scene often used in movies and TV shows to provide a twist to a story. Gunman aims at target and fires his weapon, but someone jumps in and takes the bullet for intended victim who lives, while the bullet-catcher dies.
That scene took place on Friday in Atlanta, Georgia, but the bullet-catcher was not the boyfriend or girlfriend or relative of the hero, but a German shepherd dog that saved a woman and her three children involved in a road rage incident.

The shooting incident was preceded by an altercation between the woman who was driving a Chevrolet Suburban and a man who was driving a blue-gray Taurus. According to Inquistr, it was the driver of the Taurus who cut off the female driver.
The angry man followed the Chevrolet to the strip mall on Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard and started to shoot, reports Fox 40. When they reached the mall, both vehicles parked and the gunman allegedly fired at the Chevrolet.
The people inside the Chevrolet ducked when they heard the gunfire. That was when Noah, the German shepherd, jumped in the line of fire to save the family from the crazed gunman who sped away.
It wasn't instant death for Noah since CCTV footage showed that the dog, despite being hit by the bullet, was seen walking past a shop, but was later discovered dead behind a building.
So far, no arrest has been made. Mirror said that Atlanta Police is hunting the gunman.
"They were fired upon and their family was terrorized," Atlanta Police Sgt. Gregory Lyon told WXIA. He added, "They survived that only to find that their pet is now gone. It's sad for the whole family, especially the day after Thanksgiving."
