(Photo : Reuters) An unreleased enterprise version of Google Glass has appeared on eBay.

Intel could be in charge of creating in the silicon inside Google Glass, according to a new report from The Wall Street Journal.

Citing people familiar with the matter, Intel plans to work on a new wearable chip for Google Glass. It is unclear whether this will be a change Quark chip or a new chip entirely for Google Glass, our guess would be a modded Quark chip.

Intel Quark is the wearable chip made for devices like Google Glass, which have a small amount of room for internals components. The chip is able to output a lot of power with a rather small chip.

After an incredibly late start to the mobile market, Intel is trying to get manufacturers of wearables interested. Quark is only the start, at various conventions Intel has shown weird and wonderful "smart" devices running on Quark and other chips.

It would not be the first time Intel and Google partnered, Intel Xeon chips are used in Google's self-driving cars and Intel Atom chips are used in the Nexus Player. Intel offers a high-end Atom chip for various tablets, competing against the Nvidia Tegra K1.

Google Glass has been absent from recent Google events and executives have stopped wearing the technology and actively showing it off at conventions. Even the front-face of Google Glass, co-founder Sergey Brin, was spotted not wearing the tech on the red carpet.

The move away from Google Glass has been reported as Google X Labs giving up on the tech before launch. This would make $1,500 Explorer owners the only ones to receive the tech.

However, this new report does confirm at least some development is still ongoing - even if the project is less interesting to various executives at Google - after two years of work.
