Sony's first part of the two-day "PlayStation Experience" (PSX) celebration event in Las Vegas has officially come to a close. Here's a brief overview of some of the content that unveiled during the gaming event Saturday afternoon.
Sean Murray, founder of British company Hello Games, talked about "No Man's Sky," an upcoming science-fiction exploration video game set to be released in 2015. The game will feature an open universe consisting of a variety of planetary exploration capabilities and space battles.

The gaming developer mentioned that only one small team is working on the game, which surprised many gamers considering the new demo that was played shows a huge expansive and ambitious universe.
American video game designer David Jaffe then took the stage and unveiled a PlayStation 4 third-person multiplayer arena shooter game called "Drawn to Death." The game will be implemented in sketchbook-style art, as "Drawn to Death" will be set inside a high school student's notebook.
Jaffe's new studio, The Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency, will reportedly collaborate with Sony San Diego to create the PS4-exclusive project. The game is currently in the early stages of production, but certain aspects are already playable for gamers attending the PSX event.
Additionally, head of third party production at Sony Gio Corsi announced seven games that will be coming to the handheld game console PlayStation Vita beginning next week.
"Suikoden" and "Suikoden II" will come to the PS Vita Dec. 9, while "TowerFall Ascension" and "Octodad: Dadliest Catch" will both be coming sometime early next year. "Super Time Force Ultra," "The Banner Saga" and "Resident Evil Revelations 2" will also be making their debut to the PS Vita sometime during the spring of 2015.
The second-day of the PSX event in Las Vegas will be tomorrow, Dec. 7 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time where Sony will likely unveil even more substantial PlayStation content. One-day passes to the event tomorrow costs $50.
"This event that we're gonna hold; this is pretty unprecedented," head of PlayStation software product development Scott Rohde said in October. "This is an event for the fans, and I am so incredibly geeked about it. We're gonna show you a bunch of stuff that maybe we shouldn't show you yet."
