Actress Ann B. Davis, best known for her role as housekeeper Alice Nelson on the sitcom "The Brady Bunch", died on Sunday. She was 88 years old.
The actress died from a traumatic brain injury after she fell in the bathroom of her San Antonio, Texas home on Saturday. According to longtime friend and bishop William Frey, Davis had not gained consciousness after the fall. She suffered from subdural hematoma which had caused blood to gather in the surface of her brain.

Sara Horne, Bexar County's medical examiner, said Davis had died Sunday morning at University Hospital.
Ann Bradford Davis was born in Schenectady, New York in 1926.
From past interviews, the actress had lightheartedly shared that she had originally enrolled as a pre-med student but changed her mind when she "discovered chemistry". She shifted courses and earned her degree in drama and speech from the University of Michigan in 1948.
She won two Emmy's for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Schultzy on NBC sitcom The Bob Cummings Show. However, she is mostly recognized for her role as the lovable housekeeper, Alice Nelson, on TV series The Brady Bunch which ran from 1969 to 1974.
Davis also took part in a few theater productions such as the world tour production of Crazy For You and Arsenic and Old Lace.
In 1976, Davis had moved from Los Angeles to Denver, Colorado where she joined an Episcopal community and met longtime friend, Frey.
She had never been married nor linked to anyone romantically.
The death of the 88 year old actress shocked close friends as they had known the actress to have been in great health for her age.
Friend and co-actor of The Brady Bunch sitcom, Florence Henderson, took to Facebook to express her shock at the news of Davis' death.
"I am so shocked and sad to learn that my dear friend and colleague, Ann B. Davis, died today. I spoke with her a couple of months ago and she was doing great," she wrote.
Davis' friends from the Episcopalian church are currently making the arrangements for her funeral service.
