Another air rage incident happened on Wednesday aboard an Air China flight to Hong Kong from China. The incident almost caused the pilot to make an emergency landing.

But the reason behind the fight was not another bagged pack of macadamia nuts which last week caused a vice president of Korea Airlines to lose her temper at the purser and in the aftermath lost her job.

A crying baby was the reason why Chan Juan Sung from Chongqing, China, punched one of the two women passengers seated in front of her. According to the Daily Mail, the two women were irritated by the loud noise from Chan's baby and complained about it to the mother in a loud voice as well as reclined their seats, apparently to get even.

Xiong Wan, who was seated next to the two women, recalled that Chan shouted back at the two then leaned over the seat and hit one of them. The two also hit back which caused further commotion in the aircraft.

"They were fighting, the baby was now screaming and other passengers were shouting ... It was like some bizarre film," Mirror quotes Xiong.

The Air China crew intervened and stopped the fight, which was effective until the end of the flight.

However, upon arrival in Hong Kong, the police at Chep Lap Kok Airport were informed of what happened and the women were taken in for questioning.

Commenting on the latest air rage incident to hit the aviation industry, Air China spokesman Daio Weimin said in a statement, "Passengers cannot behave like this. Each and everyone must adhere to aviation laws to ensure a safe and comfortable flight for all."

Other recent incidents of air rage include a female passenger throwing very hot noodles on a cabin crew of a charter trip from Bangkok to Nanjing when she was not allowed to sit beside her boyfriend during the trip. A 43-year-old first-time air flier also created chaos when he opened the emergency door of their plane which just landed in Sanya, Hainan in his desire to get out of the plane.
