Apparently shelving The Interview isn't enough for the group of hackers who attacked Sony Pictures and bullied it into not showing the movie, which mocks North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The group has sent out further threats to Sony demanding the company to remove all signs of the film, according to a report by CNN.

Following an investigation, the FBI has reported that North Korea is officially responsible for the attack on Sony Pictures, as the malware, infrastructure and techniques used in the attack were found to be consistent with previous North Korean cyber attacks.

The hackers were able to get inside Sony's servers gaining access to tons of data including private emails and corporate documents, and essentially blackmailed Sony to putting an end to the release of The Interview, which is a comedy film about assassinating North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Sony Pictures hoped its announcement to end any further plans to launch the film in theaters would end more data being leaked.  But it is learning the hard way that giving into threats and demands can often lead to more threats and demands as the hackers have not stopped sending threats to the film studio.

Top Sony executives reportedly received an email message from the same group of hackers on Thursday night, essentially saying that more data well be released if Sony doesn't remove all evidence of The Interview.

"It's very wise that you have made the decision to cancel the release of The Interview. It will be very useful for you," the message read according to CNN. "We will ensure the security of your data unless you make additional trouble."

That "trouble" was explained within the same message when the hackers increased their demands for Sony Pictures threatening the studio to make sure the movie won't be "released, distributed or leaked in any form of, for instance, DVD or piracy."

The email message also says, "And we want everything related to the movie, including its trailers, as well as its full version down from any website hosting them immediately."

Meanwhile, controversy sparked among moviegoers with some lashing out at the studio for its decision to end the film, while others understand the studio's difficult situation.

Even actor George Clooney was spreading a petition around this week that supported a decision to not submit to the hackers' demands. However, the petition was unable to gain any traction, as only a few were willing to sign.
