Electronics retailer Best Buy opened up another option for "Halo" fans to test out the "Halo 5: Guardians" multiplayer beta, according to a company announcement on Wednesday.

The only way for gamers to experience the multiplayer beta is if they purchased "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" or if they were invited by Microsoft as an Xbox One Preview Member. But Best Buy aims to change this by offering gamers a chance to play the beta at certain store locations this weekend.

The multiplayer beta still holds exclusivity though, as there are just over 50 Best Buy locations that will participate in the weekend event. But among the more than 50 locations, gamers will have the opportunity to test some of the new game-features, game-modes, and re-imagined maps in "Halo 5: Guardians" between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. local time on Saturday, January 3.

Additionally, Best Buy is also offering incentives for those who preorder the latest Halo installment. The company announced that consumers would receive a "Halo 5"-themed poster as well as an exclusive art book when preordering the game before January 3.

In related news, game developer 343 Industries recently revealed three preorder options for "Halo 5: Guardians" that consist of a Standard Edition, Limited Edition and Limited Collector's Edition.

The Standard Edition is priced for $60 and includes a digital or hard copy of "Halo 5: Guardians" in addition to a "Halo 5"-themed game poster. The Limited Edition option offers the poster as well as exclusive content and a "steel book including exclusive items" for an extra $40.

The Limited Collector's Edition option includes the poster, game content, steel book, as well as a celebratory Halo-themed statue created by 343 Industries and comes with a $250 price tag.
