Inspired by her bravery, the netizens have supported Cheng's personal "no more weight loss" movement. China's 3D Digital Entertainment Stephen Shiu has also expressed his support. Even her management company encourages recruitment of plus size models in Cheng's new music video.
This proves to show beauty and talent is just simply being comfortable in your own skin.
Despite weighing a little more than average, Cheng can execute dance moves and splits with ease. She is definitely a talented dancer. This is seen most often in her studio dance practices.
The 27 year old actress and singer has expressed,"The new music video will be recruiting two plus size girls that are at least 150 pounds. Since I've entered the industry, people have said that I was too fat and told me to stop dancing and singing fast songs because no one would watch."
The modern norm of beauty is currently portrayed as a svelte type of figure. Going beyond that is already a little unacceptable.
She concluded with a statement," Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and it's not up to the person to decide what's right or not. I want to prove that I can dance even if I'm fat. It's important that people find their own path and learn to accept themselves. I'm happy with being a fat girl myself!"
