(Photo : Reuters) French special forces sharp shooters take position on a rooftop of the complex at the scene of a hostage taking at an industrial zone in Dammartin-en-Goele, northeast of Paris January 9, 2015.
Two of the three gunmen responsible for the massacre at the French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo office in Paris are now dead. French anti-terrorist forces killed Said and Cherif Kouachi on Friday at their hideout in a print shop in Dammartin-en-Goele.
However, before the brothers were cornered by police, they killed four of their hostages at the kosher supermarket in Vincenne District, Paris. On Thursday, they robbed a gas station of fuel and food.

But the hostage they took with them to the print shop is safe. During the shootout, automatic gunfire and blasts were heard, followed by silence, indicating the two suspects were hit by police bullets.
Reuters quotes a government source saying that the two came out of the building and opened fire at the police, who traded shots and killed the Kouachis, ending a three-day drama that started with the Paris Massacre.
Before he was killed, Cherif told BFM-TV in a phone call that the attack was funded by the al-Qaeda in Yemen. He went to the Middle Eastern country and got the money from an Anwar al Awlaki, Cherif disclosed.
After killing the two terrorists, another siege also in a supermarket happened in eastern Paris, which resulted in the death of the gunman, Amedy Coulibaly, and four hostages.
Like Cherif, Coulibaly also called the TV station and admitted to planning the attacks with the Kouachi brothers. He also confirmed their membership with one Islamist group in Paris that targets Jews and defends Palestinians.
Despite the death of three extremist terrorists in one day, French President Francois Hollande said in a televised address that the threat to France isn't over yet.
Paris Chief Prosecutor Francois Molins, in a press briefing, disclosed that the three own an arsenal of weapons made up of an M82 rocket launcher, two Kalashnikov machine guns and two automatic weapons. They also planted booby traps.
"These madmen, fanatics, have nothing to do with the Muslim religion," while warning, "France has not seen the end of the threats it faces," Hollande said.
Besides the call of the two to the TV station, the leader of the al-Qaeda in Yemen also posted on YouTube an audio recording justifying the Charlie Hebdo attack.
"Soldiers who love God and his prophet and who are in love with martyrdom for the sake of God has come to you," Sheikh Hareth al-Nadhari said.
However, a Yemeni media man who is an expert on al-Qaeda said the group provided spiritual inspiration for the massacre, but there is no clear sign it is directly responsible despite Cherif's claims.
Mohammed al-Basha, the spokesman of the Yemen embassy in Washington, said the Yemeni government would investigate if there is a link between the Paris Massacre and the al-Qaeda in the country, reports USA Today.
