For encouraging their one-year-old daughter to play with a .40 caliber handgun, which was recorded on a mobile phone, an Indiana couple are in trouble with the law.
The young couple got arrested and charged with child neglect and recklessness. Actually, Michael Barnes, the 19-year-old father of the baby, was initially arrested for trying to sell an illegal weapon to police who eventually discovered the video in the cellphone and led to the filing of charges, reports Associated Press.

While their 12-month-old baby was playing with the gun, including placing it into her mouth, the father was even encouraging her with the words, "Bang. Bang. Bang. Shoot that thing, fat baby."
At the same time, Tori Wilson, the 22-year-old mother of the baby, also instructed the infant to say "Pow. Pow." and didn't stop her young child from placing the gun in her mouth.
The wife insisted it was a pellet gun, but the police are sure it is a .40 caliber handgun. The couple also said they removed the gun's magazine, but it is unclear if there were rounds inside the weapon's chamber.
The Evansville police said what the parents did was mind numbing, adding it was the first time they saw someone act that way while their child could be risking her life.
