A Hamilton woman took advantage of the exemption given to religious materials to mail a Holy Bible to a male inmate at the Hamilton County Justice Center in Ohio in December to smuggle heroin.
However, the sender, 39-year-old Tehani Teepe, thought that by not slipping the prohibited drug in between the pages of the Book of Life, the ploy would not be discovered because she sneaked a "half-dollar-sized, coffee-looking" stain on the Holy Bible, specifically on page 420.

That page is the first page of the Book of Daniel.
It was the sharp and trained nose of Kree, a Belgian Shepherd that belongs to the K-9 Unit of the Hamilton County Sheriff that detected there is something prohibited in the Bible addressed to 28-year-old Timothy King who had actually been transferred to Butler County Jail on December 19.
Now, Teepe is also detained after the Regional Enforcement Narcotics Unit arrested her and King on Thursday and charged with illegal conveyance of a contraband into a prison.
The two, if convicted of the charge which is a third-degree felony, could be given five-year prison terms and maximum fines of up to US$10,000.
Experts said that had King received the Bible, he would be able to get 30 to 40 highs on the size of heroin stain. If he took it at once, he could die from overdose.
The Sheriff's Office, Regional Enforcement Narcotics Unit and the Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Section are still investigating the incident.
According to Jim Neil, sheriff of Hamilton County, a month or two ago, they were discussing the length how addicted inmates would go just to acquire drugs inside. "Now you get a glimpse into how creative and determined these individuals really are as we see a Bible laced with heroin," Neil added, quotes Cincinnati.com.
