Australian website responsible for the Glitter Bomb has sold for $85k, just one week after the launch.
After a few weeks of viral videos and photos of people getting hit with unexpected glitter bombs, the creator of the website supplying these bombs, shipyourenemiesglitter.com, has sold to a new owner for $85,000.
The 22-year old Australian owner, Mathew Carpenter, told the Toronto Star in an email "You know, after a whole seven days in the glitter distribution business I just thought it wasn't for me."

Carpenter already made $20,000 on sales in the opening week, but has decided to cash in early with the domain and factory sale, allowing someone else to continue the prank site.
A glitter bomb costs $10 to ship in Australia and more worldwide, and is delivered to an unsuspecting "nemesis", who will open the package and be presented by a rush of glitter.
"Hi guys, I'm the founder of this website. Please stop buying this horrible glitter product - I'm sick of dealing with it. Sincerely, Mat," he said on the website ProductHunt.com.
The website became a viral sensation with more than 2.5 million visitors and 415,000 Facebook mentions in a week. The Flippa sale racked up 345 bids, with the original price starting at $1.
It is questionable how valuable the site will be in a month from now, when politicians like Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum get sick of the constant glitter bomb attacks, but for now people seem dead set on the new prank.
