People will flock to Phoenix, Arizona as a number of the country's biggest and best sporting events will be held there this year. The festivities include the National Football League's Super Bowl and a tournament appearance by golfing great, Tiger Woods.
Woods is set to tee off his season in the midst of 20,000 fans from Phoenix.

However, Phoenix will also become a Mecca of sorts for the sports world, as fans from all around the country will surely flock there for the upcoming Super Bowl game between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.
Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson said the pair of events puts Phoenix on the map. The main thing that the two events give Phoenix is a sense of networking, Peterson says, that is not readily available to them.
Other teams like the Dallas Cowboys and the New York teams don't need the kind of networking.
The events are spread out from Glendale in the west, to Scottsdale in the east.
The center of it all will be in downtown Phoenix. As much as 12 blocks have been blocked off for the upcoming Super Bowl activities and events.
If that weren't enough to make people excited, a temporary law change has allowed fans to walk about with open containers of alcohol.
The whole slew of events just screams fun and excitement, and with the two events together, it looks to be a great experience for Phoenix.
This year will be the third year that a Super Bowl will be held in Phoenix. The return to Phoenix though will see an upgrade to the area.
Devney Preuss, senior director of the Arizona Super Bowl host committee said that it has been a $44 billion development to the downtown Phoenix area.
Hotels and restaurants were built, as well as good venues for parties and celebrations.
If all that weren't enough to make Phoenix pop with excitement, a couple of NBA games will be played there too, as well as some concerts.
It's going to be a wild time at Phoenix.
