Israeli Ambassador Ron Dermer poked fun at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's controversial speech which the White House called a "breach of protocol" via a tweet about the Super Bowl.
The said tweet refered to the White House's statement about Netanyahu's invitation to speak before the U.S. Congress on March about Iranian sanctions --- an invitation that House Speaker John Boehner said was a breach of protocol because U.S.President Barack Obama was bypassed.

Both Boehner and Dermer are being investigated before a punishment is to be enacted. Dermer then took to his personal Twitter account to poke fun at the issue, at the same time referring to a prediction for the Super Bowl Sunday's winner.
"Breaking Protocol, Choosing Sides: Go Patriots," Dermer's tweet said.
As of this writing, the post garnered 208 retweets and 159 favorites.
Meanwhile, the New York Times quotes an unnamed White House official saying Dermer has been prioritizing Netanyahu's political interests over the U.S.-Israel ties. Other reports have also described Netanyahu's speech just weeks before the election in Israel as politically tainted.
Despite the reports, Netanyahu stated last week that his speech before the Congress just concerns Iran's nuclear programs and that it was not politically fueled as he wants the best for the future of Israel. The Obama administration has been working on passing new bills that would impose new sanctions against Iran.
Obama will also not meet with Netanyahu when he visits the country this March.
