Meghan has been enjoying the success of her hit tracks, "All About That Bass" and "Lips Are Moving", however, the 21-year old claimed that she has not yet earned a single penny from her work and has to wait until April to receive her check.

The singer said, "I haven't made any money yet. They say I will get a big fat check after nine months which will be in April so I'm hoping that's right." Meghan explained that the moment "All About that Bass" hit the top charts, people assumed that she's gotten rich and can afford anything that she wanted, however, that's just the total opposite. She revealed that she does not have the money yet to make any big purchases, but added that she is working on it.

There is no need for Meghan to be worried though, as her first album, "Title", which is consistently climbing up the charts, will definitely rake in the big bucks. Her album, as reported by Reuters, has already sold 195,000 copies and her tracks, "All About That Bass" and "Lips Are Moving" have been downloaded 377,000 times. Aside from those, based on the figures gathered by Nielsen SoundScan, "Title" is streamed around 8 million streams.

The young singer's debut album was released just three weeks before the 57^th Annual Grammy Awards. Meghan received two Grammy nominations for her single "All About That Bass." One is for song of the year and the other is for record of the year.

Discussing the song previously in an interview with Radio.com, Meghan said that she has no idea how her hit track happened. Although, the song is special to her, she didn't expect the success that would follow it. As for the lyrics, especially the line, "my momma she told me don't worry about your size," she explained how true it is especially, that her mom constantly reminds her that she's gorgeous and to stop comparing herself to other girls.
