(Photo : Joe Penney/Reuters) Boko Haram militants continue to grow in number as they recruit more members from villages they have seized.
Nearly a hundred people were shot and burned to death in the latest attack by militant Islamic group Boko Haram in Cameroon Thursday.
Cameroonian officials said 91 villagers were killed and 500 were wounded as the group carried out attacks in the northern Cameroon town of Fotokol.

Hundreds of Boko Haram fighters also burned churches, mosques and slaughtered youth who refused to join them.
The attacks were believed to be part of Boko Haram's revenge against Cameroon and neighboring African country Chad, which joined Nigeria in the battle against the militant group.
Cameroon, Chad and Nigeria launched air and ground offensives against Boko Haram at least twice this week - a move that angered the militant group.
But Cameroon doesn't seem to be threatened by the attacks, as it urged the international community to unite in bringing down the rebel group.
"We consider Boko Haram to be a cancer, and if the international community does not focus its mind on this disease it will spread not only in Central Africa but other regions, all over the continent," Cameroon's Information Minister Issa Tchiroma Bakary said.
The United Nations Security Council on Thursday condemned in the strongest terms the attacks perpetrated by Boko Haram in Cameroon, as well as the back-to-back attacks earlier this week that killed Chadian and Cameroonian troops.
The 15-member council also urged countries in the African region to step up military offensive and enhance their coordination to effectively combat Boko Haram.
The militant group is believed to have entered Cameroon from nearby Gamboru, a Nigerian border town that had been an extremist stronghold since November. Gamboru was retaken earlier this week and the Boko Haram fighters were driven out as airstrikes by Chadian and Nigerian troops were launched.
France also deployed its jets to provide intelligence information.
