Hijazi was killed in an airstrike in Quneitra, near the Golan Heights along the Syrian-Israeli border, which killed several top Hezbollah figures including commander Mohamad Issa, known as Abu Issa. An Iranian general killed in the Israeli air strike in Syria was not its intended target and Israel believed it was attacking only low-ranking guerrillas, a senior security source said on Tuesday. The remarks by the Israeli source, who declined to be identified because Israel has not officially confirmed it carried out the strike, appeared aimed at containing any escalation with Iran or the Lebanese Hezbollah guerrilla group. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Missouri filed on Friday charges against six former citizens of Bosnia who provided equipment and money to foreign fighters who joined three extremist organizations in the Middle East. The assistance includes U.S. military uniforms for those who are jihadists for al-Qaeda, Nusra Front and the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

Five of the six who were arrested in the U.S. currently live in Missouri, Illinois and New York. They were charged with conspiracy to provide material support and resources to terror groups. The sixth person lives outside the U.S., reports Reuters.

The six migrated to the U.S., three have acquired citizenship, while the others have refugee or legal resident visas.

They moved thousands of dollars and the uniforms the past 24 months using intermediaries in Turkey and Saudi Arabia, who, in turn, transferred these items to jihadists in Syria, Iraq and other parts of the Middle East. The recipient is Abdullah Ramo Pazara and other unnamed foreign fighters.

The uniform they sent include camouflage, combat boots, tactical gear, military surplus goods and firearms accessories.

Charged were 40-year-old Ramiz Zjad Hodzic, his 35-year-old wife Sedina Unkic Hodzic and 37-year-old Armin Harcevic. The three live in St. Louis, Missouri. Also charged with them are 26-year-old Nihad Rosic of Utica, New York; 34-year-old Mediha Medy Salkicevic of Schiller Park, Illinois and 42-year-old Jasminka Ramic of Rockford, Illinois.

In addition to the charge, Ramiz Zjad Hodzic and Rosic were also charged with conspiring to kill and maim people in a foreign country.

Assistant Attorney General John Carlin said the arrest and filing of charges against the six is part of the federal government's aim to identify, stop and hold accountable individuals within the U.S. who abet and serve as source of funding to jihadists and terror organizations in the caliphate.

If the accused are convicted, the penalties could be up to 15 years imprisonment for each count and fines of up to US$250,000, according to Recordamerican.com.
