A Q&A Twitter session which Robin Thicke hoped would bring him positive media coverage seemed to have gone terribly awry on Monday after users got just a tad too personal and called the singer out for his misogynistic tendencies and 'rapey' behavior.
Instead of asking questions about Thicke's recent album or where his music career is headed, users seemed far more interested in calling out the entertainer for his misogynistic behavior. And so the Twitter Q&A transformed into a literal burnfest as people got quite creative with their approaches to the session.

The 'Blurred Lines' singer first came under fire after the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards where, in a joint performance with singer Miley Cyrus, Thicke performed his hit song. 'Blurred Lines' has since gone on to be referred to as one of the most controversial songs of the decade and people have called the singer out for his sexist and pro-rape lyrics and videos.
In response to this, one Twitter user tweeted:
"#AskThicke Why are you such a misogynist?"
While another questioned Thicke saying:
"How many naked women did it take before you stopped seeing them as people & instead saw them as YouTube hits? #AskThicke"
Still other chose to strike a low blow by mocking the 37-year-old for reportedly writing an album for ex-partner Paula Patton in a public attempt at manipulating her into getting back together with him.
Patton and Thicke split earlier this year following allegations of infidelity on Thicke's part. Which probably doesn't come as a surprise to anyone considering the singer was grinding up against Miley Cyrus at the 2013 MTV Awards and was also later caught inappropriately groping a woman in an infamous photograph.
Just last month, Thicke released a new album titled 'Paula' and dedicated its entirety to Patton. But given how the Twitter Q&A has been going so far, it seems doubtful that even this will help Thicke succeed in winning back his long lost love.
