(Photo : Reuters) Apple is preparing to launch a beta program for iOS users.

Apple will reportedly add the 3D Touch display onto the iPhone 6S, announcing it as a new display technology for the Apple Watch at the October reveal event.

The 3D Touch display can automatically detect a difference in pressure on touch, allowing multiple actions to be done from the same tap on the screen.

This could allow games and apps to offer multiple functions in a single touch. This will, however, depend completely on how hard the touch is. It would work even more efficiently if Apple announces the reported 3D display on the iPhone 6S or 7.

It's interesting Apple would add this on the mobile after claiming it's only available due to the smaller display. It might mean an early delay in display shipments due to the lack of suppliers capable of making a 3D-style display.

Apple is adding more RAM to the iPhone 6S, as well. This to make sure the new 4G apps--which were approved by Apple this week--will run without any problems on the newer devices.

Even though this comes up every year, Apple will also reportedly add a new camera to the iPhone 6S featuring 13 MP and optical image stabilization on the 6S Plus, 6S and 6S Mini.

The software will focus on bug fixes, performance and usability on iOS 9. This will be a refreshing change from the constant feature launches on iOS, allowing Apple to really bump up security and usability on its mobile platform.

According to rumors, Apple will launch the iPhone 6S in the second-half of 2015.
