(Photo : Reuters) AT&T is planning to start testing its 5G network technology before the end of this year.
AT&T has announced a new 'Mobile Share Value Plan' focused at families that sink a lot of data each month. The new plan offers 7 GB of mobile data, alongside unlimited text and calls.
The new plan is a tier above the $70 per month plan that offers 3 GB of mobile data and the same unlimited texts and calls. This new plan costs $75 and comes just after Verizon announced cuts to its 10 GB and 20 GB mobile options.

The 7 GB of monthly data should be enough for a few people, unless one person in the household is a power user, in which case this may not be sufficient for more than two people.
AT&T also doesn't disclose the charges for adding smartphones to the list. Adding three smartphones will add $120 per month to the bill. That's alongside the cost per month of actually owning the smartphone, anywhere between $15 and $40 per month.
The new plan is available on AT&T Next promo that allows users to own smartphones for 12 months before swapping them for a better phone, without changing their mobile plan.
Even though this new plan is nice for users that want more data, it still racks up a rather large expense when more than three people are using the plan. We're talking above $200 per month.
That's quite a lot of money for a plan that only offers 7 GB of mobile data, something one power user could get through in one month.
