Apple has finally launched a repair program for broken 2011-2013 MacBooks.
Apple has finally launched a repair program for MacBook Pro units between 2011-2013 after two years of denying the problems exist and not offering a simple way to get a fixed unit.
The issues include distorted or scrambled video on screen; no video on computer screen at all or unexpected restarts. All of these issues can now be fixed for free by Apple.

The affected models include:
-
MacBook Pro (15-inch early and late 2011)
-
MacBook Pro (17-inch early and late 2011)
-
Retina MacBook Pro (15-inch mid 2012)
-
Retina MacBook Pro (15-inch early 2013)
This is starting to change with CEO Tim Cook being a lot more apologetic than his predecessor Steve Jobs, who had a myriad of excuses for Apple products failing to deliver a less than satisfactory experience. Jobs blamed Apple users most of the time for their computer problems.
The repair program will start in the U.S. and Canada on February 20. It starts February 27 for other countries.
This is a specific problem and other issues might still not be solved by Apple's support team, without heading to a retail store.
