Zuckerberg Unsure About Internet.org Advertising

Mark Zuckerberg's initiative to bring the internet (and more importantly Facebook) to developing nations has started with the launch of Internet.org's free service in multiple countries. Making money, howeve,r isn't the top priority in the short-term.
In an interview with Bloomberg, Facebook's CEO claimed the first goal is to make sure everyone has internet access before beginning to monetize the service.

Advertising would be key to bring in revenues from the free service but Zuckerberg doesn't want any potential barriers to bringing new users onto the internet. Having no ads is a smart incentive to keep them online.
Internet.org provides a few services like Facebook, Wikipedia, Google search and other necessary tools but doesn't offer the full internet to users for free.
Even though this could be seen as anti-net neutrality by blocking out other services, Zuckerberg and Company claim it's due to the potential bandwidth drain one user could amass, something Internet.org is keen to avoid.
The service is available in Indonesia, The Philippines, Zambia, Kenya and Colombia. All the countries are relatively low in terms of revenue per capita but high on mobile usage or growing internet trends.
Right now, the service is only available on mobile through various carriers in the region that Internet.org partners with in exchange for free internet.
Internet.org is more of a gateway to proper internet adoption. It gives mobile users a taste of the internet and makes them finally start paying for mobile data or a broadband subscription. This then leads to further usage of Facebook and other websites.
Other internet companies like Google are intent on bringing internet to the masses through low Earth orbit satellites, Project Loon and other cheap alternatives to broadband and wireless networks. SpaceX recently announced a new investment into satellites with $1 billion backing from Google.
