In the past weeks, the media and fans have wondered why Alex Rodriguez has not offered an explanation on his Performance Enhancing Drug (PED) use.
Rodriguez explained: "No mistake that I've made has any good answer."
The slugger for the New York Yankees faced supporters and the press for eight minutes. As he stood in the sun, fans passing by shouted their love and support for him.

The support is not ill-placed though. Rodriguez's 654 home runs is a strong enough reason for the respect of Yankees fans.
As he faced the press in his track suit, he did not offer any reason as to the specifics of why he was suspended for the entirety of the 2014 season. The only thing he offered was a statement acknowledging that he had made a mistake.
He also explained that he served a big penalty personally and professionally. His statement echoed the words he had written in a statement from the previous week.
While eight minutes could not have been enough to contain everything he could have said about his PED use, he only said that he dug himself in a hole and is now paying the price. He ended with baseball; saying that he loved the sport and is thankful for the opportunity to play again.
Rodriguez may never open up to the public and to the media on the details of his situation. However, he may need to open up to the court if he is called in for the case of his cousin and former University of Miami pitching coach, Yuri Sucat and Lazar Callazo respectively.
These two people close to Rodriguez will be going on trial for crimes that they committed involving the Biogenesis of America drug clinic.
Until then, Rodriguez will continue playing for the Yankees who owe him US $61 million.
