The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) militants are believed to have recruited three British teenage girls who were seen boarding a plane to Turkey to join the group and are nowhere to be found.
According to reports, the girls --- 15-year-old Amira Abase, 15-year-old Shamima Begun, and 16-year-old Kadiza Sultana --- were last seen in a CCTV video from the Gatwick airport in England last week. Authorities fear that the three teenagers, who all go to the Bethnal Green Academy in London, have already joined the jihadist group.

The families of these girls did not know anything about their children's plans and they were devastated upon knowing about their possible whereabouts.
This is not the first time that teenage girls tried to travel to Turkey in order to join the extremist group. Metropolitan police counter-terrorism commander Richard Walton said they are concerned about the alarming high rates of the number of girls who already travelled and who are planning to go to the war-torn countries.
However, analysts are questioning why these teenage girls continue to try and join the extremist group despite the media trying to expose what these militants do such as announcing news reports related to women being enslaved, raped and domesticated by the militants.
The analysts pointed out that it is a matter of who these people get to talk to or what there reason is for going there. Some of the people they chat with via social media appeal to them and counter whatever the media announces to the public.
Another instance was when twins Salma and Zahra Halane tried to follow their brother to Syria. Because their brother is important to them, they tried to go to that country.
These teenagers are wanted as wives and sometimes, this appeal to them as a "romantic adventure". However, they need to be committed to what ISIS is fighting for and that they should also reject Western ideas such as feminism and gender equality.
In addition, the jihadist group also promises these teenage girls a home and a monthly allowance.
The motives of the three Britain teenagers for deciding to travel to the area are yet to be determined.
