Davis Love III is chosen again to lead the United States in the 2016 Ryder Cup.
Love was also in the United States Ryder Cup task force that needed to decide who would captain the competition.
While it may seem that Love only got the part because he tooted his own horn, the truth is far from it. It was actually his humility on the matter that got him the position.

The decision came after the United Stated lost to the European team last fall. This was their sixth loss in seven Ryder Cups, prompting the task force to seek a leader who focuses on the bigger picture of the tournament.
The 50-year old Love had guided the United States team to a one-point loss on home soil in 2012. He commented that he offered to be the team's towel boy and cart guy because he just loved being part of the event.
This kind of attitude turned out to be what the task force members were also looking for. Love was introduced as the leader last Tuesday for the matches at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn.
Love said that his goal remains the same as it was on 2012, but he is not the same captain.
He adds that he thinks the United States does not need to make massive changes to their game. Instead, they need to make some minor changes that will tip the scales a little bit, adding a half point in certain areas.
The Professional Golfing Association of America announced that Love would have the choice of four captain's selection. This was one more than previous captain Tom Watson.
The change in the selection process seems to come after two of the hottest golf players - namely Chris Kirk and Billy Horschel - were left off the team in 2014.
