IBM Corporation has partnered with networking equipment manufacturer Juniper Networks, Inc. to develop networks that are combined with built-in real-time data analytics capabilities.
IBM and Juniper plan to design and provide the network analytics for Communications Service Providers (CSPs) and other businesses.

The tool will help enterprises analyze information and update operations, among others.
"Integrating predictive analytics directly into the stream of data processing - and embedding it into the network of CSPs - will help to ensure the reliability of the network and improve customer engagement," said Bob Picciano, IBM Analytics' senior vice president.
"Juniper Networks' focus on cloud-based analytics complements IBM's strategy to apply analytics capabilities to help organizations sense, predict and respond to opportunities." Picciano added.
Both companies intend to integrate Juniper's MX Router Service Control Gateway (SCG) with IBM's Now Factory analytics. The combination will allow optimization of network operations including service experience customization.
"These analytics capabilities will deliver new levels of insight into the behavior and performance of our enterprise and service provider customers' applications and networks." said Jonathan Davidson, Juniper Networks' executive vice president and general manager of development and innovation.
"The relationship is very strategic with Juniper," said Inhi Cho, IBM Analytics' vice president of strategy.
"It provided a great opportunity for us to scale and accelerate new capabilities. Analytics is not a separate capability, but it's actually something embedded in the network."
The move by IBM and Juniper brings together two significant technologies, namely networking and data analysis. Cisco has already unveiled its own data analytics software that focuses on real-time information analysis.
