(Photo : IBM) IBM has announced a business centric email platform, named Verse, with a modernized interface to interest new companies.
IBM wants to reinvent email for business by implementing new functionality alongside a whole new cleaner design.
The end result is 'Verse', the new email service that does much more. IBM is sticking to its motto of cloud-based technology and group collaboration, alongside analytics and performance.

Users will be able to send instant messages, emails, group emails and even set up video conferences. IBM has worked to make sure every variable in the office is available on Verse, to give all workers the right option when sending a message.
It can also integrate things such as personal calendars with company calendars, and allows file sharing between two or more parties. Meetings can be scheduled and updates can be sent out to a group of workers.
"IBM Verse uses built-in analytics to provide an 'at-a-glance' view that intelligently surfaces an individual's most critical actions for the day," the company said in a press release.
By learning employee preferences and priorities, the service provides instant context about a given project as well as the people collaborating on it. This differs from most mail services that mine a user's inbox to increase advertising and monetize that data in other ways, "an unwelcome proposition for business users concerned about privacy," IBM said.
Verse is also an organization and messaging platform for all types of businesses. It is scalable through video conferencing and groups to include different studios from around the globe, or work with a small business that needs quick messages sent to the right people.
IBM will offer Verse to businesses starting this year and pushing it with its suite of business applications.
This is not the first revamp in email this year, Yahoo and Microsoft updated their email services, and Google recently announced Inbox, a new way to use personal email.
