Reddit Bans Stolen Nude Images and Revenge Porn

Reddit has uploaded its first transparency report, showing how many data requests it got from the government over 2014.
Reddit has announced new bans on stolen nude photos and revenge porn following new removal tools implemented by most social networks to block these types of content.
The news aggregation service was the center of large controversy surrounding leaked celebrity photos -- part of the iCloud photo leak -- which resulted in subReddit /r/thefappening getting shut down.

Reddit now clearly states that if the original photographer did not intend for this to be online, it should be removed. This also includes revenge porn, where one person in the film is unaware the video has been posted online.
"Last year, we missed a chance to be a leader in social media when it comes to protecting your privacy -- something we've cared deeply about since reddit's inception. At our recent all hands company meeting, this was something that we all, as a company, decided we needed to address."
Reddit will sort through some of the older content, making sure to ban anything that goes under the new terms. It is now up to the admins and mods to get all of the content off the site quickly, or come under the same criticism as Twitter for lack of support.
