Motorola has announced the second edition of the Moto E.
Motorola has announced the second-generation Moto E, its budget handset for first-time buyers and people not interested in all of the snazzy features high-end smartphones bring.
The specs represent this budget mentality. It features a 4.5-inch qHD (540 x 960) display, Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, front and rear cameras and 4G LTE support.

The Moto E's design has been kept mostly the same as last year's, apart from the removal back which has been swapped in favor of customizable bands on the side. Motorola is offering its own "Grip Shell" band for the smartphone for extra grip.
Motorola will pre-load Android Lollipop onto the smartphone with minimal touches to the interface. It will come with some of Motorola's services like Moto Assist and Quick Camera.
The original Moto E was an excellent bargain for $149, cheap enough for almost any buyer. It made waves in India and European countries and the successor looks to be just as popular.
Even though Motorola is still working on high-end devices, the sales of its budget smartphones (Moto G & Moto E) have been extremely promising.
Motorola will offer the Moto E with 3G for $119 or with 4G LTE support for $159. It will be available in 40 countries starting today, and Motorola expects to bring it to more markets throughout 2015.
