The telecom companies that will participate in the demonstrations include German telecom firm Deutsche Telekom AG, U.S.-based telecom firm Sprint Corporation, British telecom company Vodafone, and Netherlands-based company KPN.
"This is an important new phase for mobile consumers and the industry as leading Carriers such as Deutsche Telekom, Sprint, Vodafone and KPN are now able to demonstrate the ability to connect their IP services providing seamless access to their subscribers across networks over the Jibe Hub," said Amir Sarhangi, Jibe's CEO and host of the demonstration.
"As carriers now move to interconnect their IP services, Jibe's RCS Hub makes it easy for them to connect once to interoperate with every other operator on the Hub."
This allows international operators to connect with each other, enabling cross-border interconnectivity. This will also enable better real-time interaction, chatting and sharing of videos.
"With new device OEM's native RCS support of smartphones, innovative new IP services will get a tremendous boost as the default messaging experience for consumers." Sarhangi added.
Other international telecom companies that will demonstrate new technologies at the MWC 2015 include Nokia Networks, Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., and Samsung Electronics in collaboration with SK Telecom.
Fifth generation (5G), Internet of Things (IoT) and ICT technologies will be demonstrated by some of these companies at the upcoming show.
