House Speaker John Boehner is in a no-win situation over the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) funding and immigration reform.
On one hand, conservative Republicans are hinting that they would unseat him if he approves a clean bill that would approve a one-year funding for the DHS without a provision that would roll back the president's executive action on immigration reform, reports CNN.

On the other hand, Democrats would not support tying the DHS funding and the immigration reform, which would result in another stalemate over DHS funding that will last only one week through Friday under the bill signed by U.S. President Barack Obama on February 27.
There are speculations that Boehner has entered into a deal with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi that a long-term funding bill slated next week is in exchange for the one-week funding on Friday that averted a DHS shutdown.
But Mike Steel, spokesman of Boehner, denied the existence of such a deal, reports Fox. Pelosi's office also had not confirmed or denied such an agreement.
Because of the threat to Boehner's position, moderate Pennsylvania Representative Charlie Kent said, "Right now, we have to get serious, I think a lot of people better get serious about governing and it's time for all of these, you know D.C. games to end. I mean all these palace coups or whatever the hell is going on around here has to end, and we have to get down to business of governing."
Fox said the call for the speaker's ouster likely comes from the new Freedom Caucus made up of around 50 representatives who are growing more restless.
Coups are not new to Boehner who survived an ouster attempt at the beginning of the new Congress when some conservatives did not vote for him as speaker, but he survived because of the lack of alternative.
