Michigan golfer Dan Olsen apologized Monday for his statements against Tiger Woods during a radio interview last Friday, where he said Woods was suspended by PGA Tour for failing a drug test.
"I retract the entire interview. My comments were ill-advised. I want to apologize to Nike, the PGA tour, Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods and (Tour Commissioner) Tim Finchem," Olsen said in an effort to appease those angered by his comments.

During an interview on the "Mad Dog in the Morning", Olsen said he heard from a credible person that Woods was serving a month-long drug suspension.
Olsen was quoted as saying, "Well it's not testosterone, but it's something else."
These remarks triggered a rebuttal from Woods' agent, who branded the allegations as completely ridiculous.
"These claims are absolutely, unequivocally and completely false," agent Mark Steinberg said.
Also on Monday, PGA Tour, thru its Vice President Ty Votaw, issued a statement denying Olsen's allegations.
The 14-time major championship winner Woods is currently taking an indefinite break from golf as he prepares himself to become "tournament ready" after a series of injuries.
Woods missed the cut in the Waste Management Phoenix Open - his first tournament of the season. He was coming off a career-high 82 when he missed 36-hole cut by 12 shots.
In early February, he was carted off course in the Farmers Insurance Open just after playing 11 holes due to back spasms.
The PGA tour began testing performance enhancing drugs in 2008, randomly testing its players including Woods. Only two players have so far failed the tests, and both have been slapped with one-year suspension.
The 48-year-old Olsen last played on tour during the 2011 PGA Championship. Recently, he has been teaching golf at the Wallnut Hills Country Club in Meridian Township, near East Lansing, Michigan.
