Pizza Hut has announced a new partnership with Visa and British managing consultancy firm Accenture to bring the pizza service into car dashboards.

The new service utilizes Visa's online payment service and Accenture has been tasked with building the service. It will feature all of the menu options and pizza customizations on the normal web service, along with collection and delivery.

If the customer chooses collection, the store will also be able to track the location of the car in preparation for pick-up. This means Pizza Hut could be more efficient when it comes to getting pizza collected on time instead of making the customer wait.

"By 2020 it is estimated that more than 250 million vehicles worldwide will include some form of embedded connectivity," said Visa's senior vice president of Innovation and Strategic Partnerships, Bill Gajda.

"As the number of connected cars on the road increases, so does our ability to bring secure online commerce to consumers everywhere. We initially focused on a specific use case -- ordering a meal on your way home -- but we envision a world where consumers can seamlessly make many of their everyday purchases from the car."

Pizza Hut wants to be as mobile-friendly as possible to compete with Domino's huge growth in the past five years thanks to mobile and web adoption.

It follows a recent revamp of the Pizza Hut menu that now features a ton of new adventurous toppings for customers to try. The pizza restaurant is hoping to make its online service available to even more customers in the coming months through expansion and investment in more delivery drivers.
