The offensive force that is Frank Gore has let his current plans for the upcoming National Football League (NFL) season be known, stating that he will be signing with the Philadelphia Eagles.

While a breakdown of contractual talks has been barred yet, Gore is still expected to be signed to a three-year deal, with US $7.5 million guaranteed within the first two years.

The decision to move will end his impressive 10-year streak playing with the San Francisco 49ers.

While a valuable asset, the final amount of money he is targeted to get will reportedly be less than what former Eagles running back LeSean McCoy will get after signing a new deal with the Buffalo Bills this week.

Gore will be getting less than half of what McCoy made, but both sides will still be negotiating on the matter first.

The upside though is that the Eagles are already making Gore their starter for the upcoming season.

Gore has already told other teams interested in him that he has made his decision. Free-agent cornerback Byron Maxwell also confirmed it to ESPN that Gore will be signing with the Eagles on Tuesday.

Maxwell was also projected to go to the Eagles, but the Seattle Seahawks made a last minute failed effort to sway the cornerback to their team, sources say.

The Eagles can be confident in knowing that the 31-year old Gore will be their running back this season, while the 27-year old Maxwell will be their cornerback.

Gore is a leader in the locker room that head coach Chip Kelly wants on his team. He is coming off his fourth straight 1000 yard rushing season, while rushing for 1000 yards in eight of his last nine played seasons.

Maxwell on the other hand was a starter for most of the 2014 season. He had two interceptions and 12 defended passes. He played both the outside corner spot and at nickelback last season.
