Despite several rumors, NBA's Rajon Rondo confirmed that he's still open to resigning with the Dallas Mavericks after he becomes a free agent this summer, according to a report by Yahoo Sports.
The recent altercation last week with Rondo and Mavericks' coach Rick Carlisle, which resulted in the all-star point-guard being benched and eventually suspended one game, has sparked several rumors that he is unhappy with his situation in Dallas and will not be resigning in the offseason.

However, in an interview conducted by Yahoo Sports on Saturday, Rondo sets the record straight and downplayed the false notion of him ready to leave Dallas.
"Why would I not be? There are a lot of things that I really love," Rondo answered when asked whether he is open to re-signing with the Mavericks. "Even the practices, we listen to music, my type of music. It's the little things."
"I love it here, I don't dislike anything. I'm not uncomfortable," Rondo continued. "Of course, the system is different, but I've been here for two months. It's going to take time. Hopefully, sooner rather than later."
Those comments do notsound like they are coming from a player who hates his coach to the point of wanting to leave the team, as multiple media sites seem to portray. But what should be in question is whether or not the Mavericks even plan to resign Rondo.
The 29-year-old was expected to pick up where he left off when playing along side Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett in Boston, but the four-time all-star's production has dropped in Dallas, averaging just 8.9 points, 8.1 assists and 5.8 rebounds in 30 games.
Rondo has already expressed his opinion of being a max-contract player in the past, but that notion does not add up with the production of his play as of late. If Rondo has the same expectations of wanting a max-contract salary, it is possible that he would end up wearing blue and white after all.
